June Choo's Diary: 7D6N Korea (9-Oct-2014 - 15-Oct-2014)

Day 3 - (11 Oct 14)

Today we start our first destination to Daedunsan (大屯山囯立公园)

Going for our lunch. Along the way, there are many stalls selling their local food and fruits

Outside the restaurant, a stall is selling fried fritters. The long one is the gingseng root deep fried with flour mix. Taste not bad

We have steamboat with lots of straw mushrooms, vegetables, cabbages and pork. The soup very tasty

Kimchi side dish and the black round one is the boiled potatoes with some sweet sauce. Very nice

Daedunsan (大屯山囯立公园)Daedunsan is famous for it's two iron bridges (Geumgang Cloud Bridge 金刚排云桥), one which is strung between two peaks , and another that's more like a very steep, slippery ladder (Samseon Mountain Stair Way 凤云阶梯) . The below shows you the distance between each stop.

Taking cable car

While waiting for the cable car, saw this. Painting?

NO. is a trick eye drawing. The child is real, and the rest is painting. He is not climbing, in fact the whole painting is on the wall and floor. I missed this museum in Jeju which on the first day, I have actually asked the tour guide to bring us there, since it is not in the itinerary. But totally forgot and I think he also happily didn't want to mention.

Journey starts...and this photo taken is already two thirds of the journey up. Can you see our member in red, sliding down her head? Ha...

At last reach the first destination, Geumgang cloud bridge (金刚排云桥)

Scenery was beautiful, although did not have the chance to see the full bloom of the autumn trees

The tour guide asked not to climb the Samseon Mountain Stair Way 凤云阶梯, which is higher. But anyway our legs already too wobbly liao.

Taking the cable down hill

On the way back after alighting from the cable, saw this stall selling something like our roti prata. So decided to buy and sample. It was so crispy outside and there is some creamy stuff inside. Very nice

Also bought this octopus arms, but the texture a bit rubbery. After a few bites, it is quite tasty.

Back and check in to the hotel. The hotel is just in the midst of the shopping area.

Daiso. The price sold here is not fixed at $2 at SG. Every item is of different price. But I think overall is still cheape.

Decided to take our dinner at this Shanghai Food for the black bean sauce noodle (炸酱面)

This is something like a baked kueh with egg topping.

It was baked in a very traditional way using a ordinary bin and a stove. The centre is a stove, and the pastry is placed around and after that the door will close to process the baking within. One whole egg is place on top of the pastry.
